Mathew Mailaparampil was born in India and arrived in Finland 23 years ago as a student. After a few years in the University of Technology as researcher, Mathew moved to Nokia Mobile Phones where he worked in various roles. Later, he started his own ventures, as an entrepreneur, in the fields of digital technology and real estate. He is also associated with fundraising activities and innovation projects. During this period, he found the policies and values of the Swedish People’s Party of Finland (SFP) align with his ethos. For this reason, he is standing for election, as a candidate of SFP and is looking forward to working with you for change.

Children and youth
As the father of 5 children, I fully understand the importance of investing in children and promoting their well-being. I will advocate for measures to support early childhood development, including access to high-quality early education and childcare services. This will include focus on training and hiring more early childhood care workers and mental health professionals in schools.
I will do my best to support families in providing them with the resources they need to care for their children, including parental leave and family-friendly workplace policies. I will emphasise the
importance of protecting children from violence, abuse, and neglect, and of providing them with safe and supportive environments in which to grow and thrive.
I will address other issues related to youth, including the need to provide young people with access to education, training, and employment opportunities, and to support their mental health and well-being. I will champion the importance of investing in children and youth, and of working to create a society in which all young people have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
NO FUTURE WITHOUT WELLBEING AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE
We recognise the importance of promoting wellbeing among young people for a brighter future. We promise to support youth initiatives and invest in education and mental health services to ensure that young people have the resources and support they need to succeed.
We will work to reduce bullying and promote tolerance and mutual respect among young people of all backgrounds. We will also support efforts to combat substance abuse and promote healthy lifestyles, including access to sports and leisure activities.
Additionally, we believe in investing in affordable housing and reducing homelessness to provide young people with stable and secure living conditions. We are committed to ensuring that every
young person in Finland has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential.
Climate and the environment
I will make it a priority to emphasise on the importance of taking action to protect the environment and combat climate change. I will advocate for policies that promote sustainable development,
including investment in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable transportation.
I believe that Finland can take a leadership role in international efforts to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. I will stress on the importance of preserving Finland’s natural resources and biodiversity for future generations.
Our party’s vision for the environment will prioritise sustainability and responsible stewardship of the planet.

We as a party, understand the urgency of protecting our planet and preserving it for future generations. We promise to support efforts to combat climate change and promote sustainability by investing in renewable energy sources and promoting energy efficiency.
We believe in reducing waste and pollution and promoting sustainable consumption and production patterns by supporting the development of circular economy models. We will work to protect Finland’s unique natural environment and biodiversity, including promoting sustainable forestry practices and reducing the use of pesticides and other harmful chemicals.

I support my party’s vision for a responsible and sustainable economic policy that prioritises growth, job creation, and social responsibility, and I will advocate for policies that support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as measures to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.
I will promote the importance of investing in education and skills training to ensure that Finland has a skilled and adaptable workforce that can compete in a rapidly changing global economy. Our economic vision emphasises the importance of social responsibility, with a focus on promoting sustainable development and ensuring that economic growth benefits all members of society.
I will advocate for a balanced and forward-looking approach to economic policy that supports growth, job creation, and social responsibility.
WORKING TOWARDS A RESPONSIBLE ECONOMIC POLICY
As a party, we promise to work towards a responsible economic policy that creates new job opportunities, supports small and medium-sized enterprises, and promotes international competitiveness.
We will invest in education and research to enhance Finland’s competitiveness and promote innovation. We will support sustainable agriculture and forestry sectors and promote regional development by investing in infrastructure to support local communities.
We will also promote the circular economy, reduce waste and pollution, and support sustainable tourism and cultural heritage. We believe in a fair and efficient taxation system that encourages entrepreneurship and economic growth while being mindful of social and environmental responsibility.
