My name is Emilie Jäntti, and I wish to be your candidate in the parliamentary election.
Activism and politics have been a big, and important, part of my life since I was very young. Since I was 13 years old, I’ve had the opportunity to have many different commissions of trust, out of which the first ones were in my lower secondary schools student-board as well as in my hometown’s youth parliament. This interest in politics was also what brought me into choosing political science as my major when I began my studies at Åbo Akademi.
Some of the most important political questions for me are educational politics, human rights and the right to participate in decision making from a young age.

Children and youth

Our children and young people are the future, and we need to make sure that they are well, get a good education and grow up in a safe environment. In order for us to build a society which benefits everyone it is of high importance that children and young people's voices are heard in decision making.

I want to work for increased resources for early child-hood education and ensuring that every daycare has well-educated personnel.
